Previously known as Girls That Invest – same course, new name, still iconic.

If the idea of financial investing makes your brain turn into mashed potatoes – same.
For the longest time I thought investing was only for men called Tristan who drink iced black coffee and speak in stock market riddles. Meanwhile I was over here thinking the NASDAQ was maybe a medication. Idk.

Then 2 years ago, I found Girls That Invest (now rebranded to Friends That Invest, FYI, they are the same course). I signed up thinking, “If I can just understand the difference between a stock and an ETF, I’ll be happy.”
I went from “please don’t talk to me about the stock market I will fall asleep” to actually having opinions about stocks. Who am I.
This is my honest Friends That Invest Review – what the course actually teaches, what changed for me, and whether it is worth the money, from someone who started as a complete beginner and is now fully in her financially enlightened era.
Why I Wanted to Learn to Invest

I work on a yacht – great money, but also the easiest industry in the world to blow through cash without noticing. One minute you feel rich, the next minute you’ve bought Aperols for 27 people and now you’re broke again.
When you’re young, don’t have a mortgage or kids, and you’re not paying for rent or food while onboard – it basically feels like Monopoly money. And that’s exactly how you can blink and realise you’ve saved nothing.
No one around me was talking about investing.
People talk about salaries, spending, holidays… but not how to build real wealth. And I realised I was relying on “future me” to magically sort everything out, without actually doing anything.
I didn’t want to feel clueless about money anymore.
I wanted choices, confidence, security and freedom – not a yearly meltdown in front of my banking app.
Investing felt important, but also terrifying. I didn’t know where to start.
Enter, ✨Friends That Invest✨.

What Is the Friends That Invest Masterclass?
It’s a beginner investing course created by Simran Kaur, (a self-made millionaire QUEEEEEN in her 20s), who explains everything in a way that finally makes sense – like you’re talking to a friend over coffee, not sitting through a finance lecture trying not to cry.
The course is super simple to follow.
Short videos, step-by-step, no overwhelming graphs, no shouting crypto bros, no maths trauma.
And the goal isn’t to turn you into a day trader.
It’s to help you build long-term wealth so one day your investments grow enough that you don’t need to work.
AKA: financial freedom, holidays whenever you want, and living off compound interest like an unbothered queen.
What I Actually Learned
- How investing really works (not the scary fake-smart version men use to sound important)
- What long-term wealth building actually means
- How to choose platforms and open accounts
- What ETFs and stocks are and how to use both without guessing
- How to invest small amounts consistently and actually see growth
- The power of compound interest (aka the thing nobody teaches us but could literally change your entire life)
Before this course, I knew none of that.
Now I get it.
I understand what I’m doing.
And I genuinely enjoy it.

What Changed For Me
Before this course, the second anyone mentioned investing my brain would immediately exit the chat and start thinking about dinner. I just assumed it wasn’t something “people like me” did – like you had to be born knowing what an index fund was or have a dad called Rupert who works in finance.
But something clicked.
Investing stopped feeling confusing and started feeling like a genuinely exciting way to build a future I actually want, instead of hoping everything magically sorts itself out someday.
I don’t want a life where I work forever and then collapse at 65 with a pension that buys two coffees and a wet Wednesday in Bournemouth.
I want to be the woman whose money grows quietly in the background while she lives her life.
I want options.
Freedom.
A future where compound interest pays for long holidays and time with the people I love.
Not drama. Not gambling. Not checking charts every 3 minutes.
That’s why I wanted to learn to invest – so one day my investments grow enough that I can live off the returns and not rely on hustle culture or a man or luck.
And now payday hits and the first thing I do is invest – not because I’m trying to be a spreadsheet girlie, but because it feels smart and exciting knowing future-me will thank me for it.
It’s wild how different it feels when you suddenly understand it.
Like, “oh wait… I’m actually capable of this. And I can actually build something huge over time.”

It wasn’t like one big fireworks moment – just slowly watching the numbers climb and thinking, hold on… why did nobody teach me this sooner?

The Part I Didn’t Expect
The course didn’t just teach me how to invest – it made me interested in it.
Like actually interested.
Especially Tech and AI – the companies making the AI chips, and the companies building the machines that make the AI chips… I know who they all area, what they do, and I can actually follow the conversation, and join in, instead of nodding and pretending.
It changed my brain chemistry.
In the best way.
And genuinely
It changed everything for me.
And it’s all thanks to Friends That Invest

💸 Women who secretly want to be that girl who retires early and goes on holidays whenever she feels like it
💸 People who want financial freedom long-term, not quick gambling thrills
💸 Anyone who wants to understand investing without being spoken to like an idiot
💸 People with good salaries but bad saving habits (hi, yacht crew)

Is It Worth It?
For me?
Yes. 100%.
Not because I suddenly became a millionaire overnight – but because it completely changed the way I think about money. It removed the fear and confusion and replaced it with excitement and control.
I’m genuinely building something now. I’m not just vibing and hoping future-me figures it out.
If I could go back, I’d start sooner.
